Available information

For publicly listed tiles, wood flooring, carpet tiles, LVT, Forbo (LVS), bathroom fixtures, wall materials and supplies, you can read the Jitdot code, display name, category, subcategory, material, finish, dimensions in millimeters, primary photo, design-file availability and sales unit. Stock is returned as In stock, Stock check required or Out of stock, rather than a quantity. Retail prices are included only for materials whose prices are public. Membership-tier prices and suppliers are not returned.

MCP server

Connect to https://jitdot.com/mcp using Streamable HTTP. No authentication is required. All five tools are read-only.

`search_materials`	Find materials by category, dimensions, material, finish and keywords.
`get_materials`	Use Jitdot codes to read display names, dimensions, photos, design-file availability, stock status and public retail prices.
`get_design_files`	Check whether SketchUp .skm, CAD .pat and .dxf files and textures are available, and where to download them.
`check_stock`	Read one of three stock states: In stock, Stock check required or Out of stock.
`list_filters`	Read available dimensions, materials and finishes, with material counts.

REST API

All endpoints use GET and return JSON. Responses include the response time and source.

Design files, including SketchUp .skm files, CAD hatches (.pat), legends (.dxf) and textures, are available only to Jitdot members. The API and MCP server indicate availability and where members can download them: material cards in the Library after signing up.

Request limits

Each IP address is limited to 30 requests per minute and 1,000 per day. Requests above the limit receive HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header. A search returns up to 24 results per page and 5 pages. You can request up to 10 Jitdot codes at once. There is no endpoint to download the full catalog at once.

Terms of use

Information from the Jitdot Catalog API and MCP server may be used to find, compare and explain materials. By using the service, you agree to these terms; matters not covered here are governed by the Jitdot Terms of service. When displaying information, identify Jitdot (jitdot.com) as the source and include the material document URL provided in the response. Use the Jitdot name only for attribution, without implying endorsement or a partnership. Written permission from Jitdot, including by email, is required to collect and store data for resale, build a separate catalog or database, or include it in a price comparison service beyond querying as needed to answer questions. Send permission requests to support@jitdot.com. Image rights belong to Jitdot or the respective rights holders. Permission is limited to displaying images at the URLs returned in the response on material information screens. If an image includes a note, display that note with it. Prices and stock are current as of the response time; order amounts follow the amounts shown on Jitdot’s order screen and estimates. Changes to addresses, removal of response fields or reductions in request limits will be announced in advance in this document. Requests that violate these terms or bypass limits may be blocked immediately.

API request logs do not store the original IP address, only a value transformed using a secret key. Search terms are limited to the first 120 characters after removing patterns matching phone numbers, email addresses and resident registration numbers. Request logs are deleted after 90 days; only aggregates such as monthly request counts are retained.
